RoomFit Privacy Policy
Effective 2 October 2026 · Last updated 2 October 2026
한국어: 개인정보 처리방침
RoomFit is a room-planning app for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by JoCoding, Inc. ("we"). This policy explains what the app and this website collect, why, who else receives it, and the choices you have. The short version: your rooms, furniture, layouts, measurements and photos stay on your device. There are no accounts, and we don't sell your data.
1. Your rooms, furniture and photos stay on your device
Everything you create in RoomFit — rooms, furniture items, layouts, measurements and the photos you add to furniture — is stored only in the app's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we have no copy of it. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
A room only leaves your device if you export it yourself (an image, a PDF or a
.roomfit file) and choose where to send it with your system share sheet.
2. Camera, AR and on-device image processing
- Camera. RoomFit uses the camera for AR measuring and for taking photos of furniture. Camera frames are processed on your device and are never recorded or sent anywhere. Photos you choose from your library come through the system photo picker; RoomFit does not get access to the rest of your library.
- AR. AR measuring uses Apple ARKit on iOS and Google Play Services for AR (ARCore) on Android. On Android, ARCore is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy; Google may collect technical information about your device to run it.
- Background removal of furniture photos runs on your device, with Apple Vision on iOS and Google ML Kit on Android. On Android, Google Play services may download the ML Kit model to your device; no photo is sent with that download.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
If you use the free version, you can choose to watch a short rewarded ad to get one more edit. That is the only kind of ad in RoomFit — no banners, no ads between screens — and an ad plays only when you tap the button for it. Ads are served by Google AdMob, whose SDK may collect your device's advertising identifier, an approximate location derived from your IP address, how you interact with ads, and diagnostic data about the ads and the app, to show, measure and protect ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Your consent. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent through Google's consent form before personalized ads, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. On iOS, the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking when Apple's prompt (App Tracking Transparency) asks; otherwise ads are not personalized with it.
- Ads are suitable for all ages: the app requests ads rated G only.
- RoomFit Pro users see no ads, and the ads SDK is not started for them.
4. Measuring our own ads (Meta app events)
We may advertise RoomFit on Facebook and Instagram. To learn whether those ads lead to installs, the app includes Meta's app-events SDK, which reports that the app was installed and opened, together with technical device information.
- On iOS, your advertising identifier is included only if you allow tracking in Apple's prompt; otherwise Meta measures through Apple's privacy-preserving attribution.
- On Android, the advertising identifier is included only after the app's ad-consent step allows ads (which, in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, means you consented); you can reset or delete it in Android's settings at any time. Pro users never send it.
- Purchases are not reported to Meta.
5. Product analytics (PostHog)
To understand how RoomFit is used and improve it, the app sends a small set of named events to PostHog, our analytics provider — for example "onboarding completed", "room created", "layout arranged", "measurement finished", "plan exported", and whether the Pro offer was shown or a purchase completed, plus app opens. Each event carries only simple values such as a count, a format or an outcome, whether you have Pro, the app version, your device model, OS version and language, and an approximate location PostHog derives from your IP address.
Events are tied to the same anonymous identifier RevenueCat uses for your install (see below), so usage and purchases can be counted together. There is no session replay, no screen recording, no automatic capture of taps, and no content: room names, furniture, measurements and photos are never sent. See PostHog's privacy policy.
6. Purchases (Apple, Google and RevenueCat)
RoomFit Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether Pro is active on your install: RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier created by the app, your purchase receipts and history, and basic device information. RevenueCat also passes purchase events to our PostHog analytics under the same anonymous identifier. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
7. Feedback you send
If you use Settings → Send feedback, we receive exactly what you type, the reply email address if you choose to give one, your platform (iOS or Android), app version and language, plus a random identifier the app creates for this purpose. That identifier is not your advertising identifier or your RevenueCat identifier, and it is forgotten when you delete the app. Nothing else is sent: your rooms and photos never leave your device.
We use your message to understand and fix problems, and your email only to reply to you. Feedback is stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare and kept for at most one year, after which it is deleted automatically — or sooner if you ask us. Cloudflare also processes your IP address to deliver the request and may keep it briefly in short-lived operational logs.
8. No accounts, no selling
RoomFit has no sign-up and no accounts. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except with the service providers named in this policy, for the purposes described here, or where the law requires it.
9. This website
The home page of roomfit.jocoding.io uses Google Analytics (data kept at most 14 months) to count visits and clicks on the store buttons, which sets cookies and records your browser, approximate location and the page that sent you. You can block it with your browser's cookie or tracker settings, or with Google's opt-out add-on. The support, privacy and terms pages do not use analytics. A language you pick on the home page is remembered in your browser only.
10. Where data is processed
JoCoding, Inc. is based in the Republic of Korea. Google, Meta, PostHog, RevenueCat and Cloudflare process data on servers that are mainly in the United States, and may use other countries. Where the law requires, these transfers are covered by the providers' standard contractual safeguards.
11. How long data is kept
- On-device data: until you delete it in the app or delete the app.
- Feedback: at most one year, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Analytics, advertising and purchase data held by PostHog, Google, Meta and RevenueCat: according to each provider's retention policy and settings.
12. Children
RoomFit is a general-audience app. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us feedback, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Your choices and deleting your data
- Data on your device: delete rooms and items in the app, or delete the app to remove everything.
- Feedback: email highball@jocoding.net with the email address you used (if any) and roughly when you sent it, and we will delete it within 10 days.
- Advertising: deny or withdraw tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; reset or delete your advertising ID on Android; change your consent in RoomFit's Settings → Privacy choices (EEA, UK, Switzerland). Buying Pro stops all ads.
- Analytics and purchase records: these use an anonymous identifier, not your name, so we usually cannot tell which records are yours. If you would like them deleted, email us; we will do our best to identify and delete them with the information you can give.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Email us to exercise any of these rights. Korean residents, see the Korean policy for the details required by the Personal Information Protection Act.
14. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top. For significant changes we will give notice on this site at least 7 days before they take effect.
